TikTok Ads notes/limitations
- Unfortunately, TikTok's API limits the queried period to a maximum of 365 days. Should you have data for your metric in question, please clone your dashboard and set a different period within this time range to display it. Still not seeing your data? Contact our support team to investigate.
- Video Shopping Ads & Catalog Listing Ads (both known as Shopping Ads) are currently not available via TikTok's API. Please know that our Product team is closely monitoring the development of this feature.
- Thumbnails are not available for Spark Ads and Smart+ ads. These ads promote an existing organic TikTok post through a Business Center identity rather than a creative uploaded to your ad account, so TikTok's API does not return an image for them. In your widget, the thumbnail for these ads shows a grey placeholder instead of the post image. The ad name and all metrics are not affected.
- When using any of the dimensions in your widget, the results (ex. Video Views, Clicks, etc.) will show data for the posts published during the time period shown in your dashboard.
- To add a new TikTok account to DashThis:
1. Go to TikTok.
2. Sign out of your current account to ensure you're fully logged out.
3. Return to DashThis.
4. Log in using the credentials for the TikTok account you wish to connect.
⚠️ Ensure you're not logged into any other TikTok account in your browser before attempting to connect a new one.
