Spotify Ads notes/limitations
A few things to keep in mind when you report on Spotify Ads in DashThis.
The Spotify Ads integration is currently in closed beta. To get access, please contact our support team.
Good to know
- Reach and Frequency are exact up to 89 days. Spotify caps a single report at 90 days, so DashThis fetches a longer period in parts and adds them together. A listener reached in more than one part is counted more than once, which overstates Reach. Frequency divides impressions by reach, so it is understated on those same longer periods. Both are exact for a period of 89 days or less.
- Your days are counted in UTC. Spotify Ads reports carry no time zone of their own, unlike most ad platforms, so day boundaries follow UTC rather than your DashThis settings or your ad account’s location.
- Your numbers settle over about three days. Spotify keeps adjusting recent delivery figures after a day ends, so DashThis re-fetches the last three days to pick up the changes. Expect the most recent days to keep moving slightly.
- One source is one ad account. Amounts are shown in the currency the Spotify ad account is set to, so a dashboard mixing ad accounts in different currencies does not convert between them.
- Reconnecting. If your access to the ad account changes in Spotify Ads Manager, your widgets stop updating and DashThis asks you to reconnect. An admin of the Spotify business may need to restore your access first.
