Snapchat Ads metrics and dimensions

Here are the metrics and dimensions available when you build Snapchat Ads widgets in DashThis.

Metrics

Metrics Description
Amount Spent The total amount you spent, in the ad account currency.
Impressions The number of times your ads were shown.
Swipes Swipe-ups on your ad, which is Snapchat’s click-through action.
Swipe-Up Rate Swipes divided by impressions.
Cost per Swipe Amount spent divided by swipes.
CPM Amount spent per 1,000 impressions.
Reach* Unique Snapchatters who saw your ad.
Frequency* Average impressions per unique Snapchatter.
Video Views Impressions watched for at least 2 seconds or swiped.
Video Views to 25% Video views that reached 25% of the video.
Video Views to 50% Video views that reached 50% of the video.
Video Views to 75% Video views that reached 75% of the video.
Video Views to 100% Video views that reached completion.

Dimensions

Dimensions Description
Campaign Breaks your data down by campaign.
Ad Squad Breaks your data down by ad squad, which is Snapchat’s name for an ad group.
Ad Breaks your data down by individual ad.
Country Breaks your data down by the country your ad was served in.
Region Breaks your data down by the region your ad was served in.
Gender Breaks your data down by audience gender.
Age Breaks your data down by audience age bucket.
Operating System Breaks your data down by device operating system.

 

*Reach and Frequency need a breakdown

Reach and Frequency count unique viewers, so they cannot be added up. You can use them when your widget is broken down by Campaign, Ad Squad, or Ad. They are not available on an account total, or with the Country, Region, Gender, Age, and Operating System dimensions.
