Meta Ads notes/limitations
-
Meta automatically returns all the ad accounts your user has access to, and there’s no way to manually select only a few.
That said, if you need to move ads from one account to another, Meta provides a way to do that. You’ll find the step-by-step instructions here:
How to transfer ads to another ad account – Meta Business Help Center - The Ad ID filter is not compatible with the Contains operator. This filter must be used with the Equals operator.
- As of August 6th, 2026, Meta requires an ad account administrator to enable certain reporting breakdowns before they can be pulled through its API. This affects the Impression Device and Platform & Device dimensions: until the breakdown is enabled on the ad account, Meta returns no data, so widgets grouped by these dimensions will appear empty.
An account administrator can enable it directly in Meta Ads Manager — once enabled, your data (including past periods) repopulates on the next refresh.
