# Instagram Insights: Metrics Deprecation

## This article highlights the updates Meta has made to their Instagram Insights API, including measures to enhance user privacy and data anonymization. We're here to guide you through these changes and their impact on DashThis.

#### January 8, 2025

As of **January 8, 2025**, Meta has announced in their [Graph API v21.0 changelog](https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/changelog/version21.0) that the `video_views` metric will no longer be supported in the Instagram Insights API.

This change affects the following metrics in our platform:

- `Video Views`
- `Total Views`
