[MCP](https://help.dashthis.com/mcp?hsLang=en) # How to create a dashboard with your AI assistant ## Your AI assistant can design a DashThis dashboard from a short description, show it to you as a proposal, and create it once you approve.   ⚠️ This feature is currently in closed beta. To get access, please [contact our support team](https://help.dashthis.com/kb-tickets/new?hsLang=en). ### How does it work? 1. **Describe** the dashboard you need, for example "Build me a lead generation dashboard for a new client from Google Ads and GA4." 2. **Review** the proposal. Your assistant shows the title, the widgets it picked for each platform, and why. Nothing is created yet. 3. **Refine** it as often as you like. Ask for another platform, another goal or other widgets, and your assistant proposes again. 4. **Approve** it. Your assistant creates the dashboard in your DashThis account and gives you a link to open it. ### What can you ask for? - **Platforms and goals:** up to 4 platforms, each with one goal: brand awareness, traffic generation, lead generation or ecommerce sales. - **Your client's website:** name it, and the proposal is personalized from public information about the business. - **A brief:** tell your assistant what the report should focus on and who reads it. - **Your own layout:** list the numbers you want and how the dashboard should read, and your assistant lays it out section by section, with headings and text blocks. - **Your real data:** name the sources you want to use. Any platform without a source is built on Sample Data, which you can replace in DashThis later. - **Custom metrics:** when you name a source, your assistant also sees its own custom metrics and dimensions, such as Google Analytics 4 custom dimensions or Meta Ads custom conversions. - **Colors:** use one of your existing themes, or give your own colors for the new dashboard. ### Good to know - **Nothing is created until you approve.** A proposal is only a draft, and your assistant asks you to confirm before it creates the dashboard. - **New sources count toward your plan.** A source that is not on any of your dashboards yet takes one of your plan's sources when the dashboard is created.
