How to connect with MCP in Claude
Connect Claude to your DashThis account with MCP so you can ask about your dashboards right inside your conversation.

This guide shows you how to connect Claude to your DashThis account using the MCP Connector. Once connected, you can ask Claude about your dashboards and it answers using your live reporting data.
Before you start
- Adding a custom connector requires a paid Claude subscription. If you’re using a Team or Enterprise plan, a workspace admin must create the connector before it can be used.
- You sign in with your usual DashThis credentials during setup.
Connect Claude to DashThis
- Open Claude on the web (claude.ai) or in the desktop app.
- Go to Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Enter the connector details:
- Name: DashThis
- URL: https://mcp.dashthis.com
- Authentication: OAuth
- Authorize the connection. You are redirected to DashThis to sign in and approve access.
- Start asking about your dashboards, for example “List my DashThis dashboards” or “Show me the current values on my SEO dashboard for last month.”
What Claude can see
Claude can only read the dashboards on the DashThis account you connected, and the connection is read-only, so it cannot change anything in DashThis. For the full list of what the connector can and cannot do, see MCP notes and limitations.
