How to connect with MCP in Claude
Connect Claude to your DashThis account with MCP so you can ask about your dashboards right inside your conversation.
This guide shows you how to connect Claude to your DashThis account using the MCP Connector. Once connected, you can ask Claude about your dashboards and it answers using your live reporting data.
Before you start
- Adding a custom connector requires a paid Claude subscription.
- You sign in with your usual DashThis credentials during setup.
Connect Claude to DashThis

Go to https://claude.ai/directory/dashthis and click Connect to Claude.
- Authorize the connection. You’ll be redirected to DashThis to sign in and approve access.
- Start asking about your dashboards, for example “List my DashThis dashboards” or “Show me the current values on my SEO dashboard for last month.”
What Claude can see
Claude can only read the dashboards on the DashThis account you connected, and the connection is read-only, so it cannot change anything in DashThis. For the full list of what the connector can and cannot do, see MCP notes and limitations.
Claude says it has no tools available
If Claude connects but tells you it has no tools available, the connection was approved with incomplete permissions.
Remove the DashThis connector in Claude, then follow the steps above to connect and approve access again. Your dashboards and your data are never affected, so you lose nothing by reconnecting.
