[Widget Options](https://help.dashthis.com/widgets?hsLang=en#widget-options) # How to add goals in DashThis ## DashThis allows you to compare your performance against your targets by adding goals to certain widgets.   Two widget types support goals: - **Gauge widget** - **Historic widgets** Here’s how each one works.   ### 1. Adding a goal in the Gauge widget The **Gauge widget** shows how close you are to your goal using three color zones: - **Red**: far from the goal - **Orange**: getting closer - **Green**: goal reached — great job! ![How to use the gauge widget?](https://blob.dashthis.com/support/2016/08/Gauge_Numbers.png?utm_source=chatgpt.com) ### **How to set a goal** 1. Add a **Gauge widget**. 2. Open **Edit Widget**. 3. Enter your value in the **Goal Value** field. 4. Save. The gauge will automatically adjust to display your progress.   ### 2. Adding a goal in the Historic widget The **Historic widget** shows your performance over time. You can add a **goal line** to see how your results compare to your target. ### **How to add a goal line** 1. Open **Edit Widget**. 2. Check **Show goal line**. 3. Enter your **Goal Value**. 4.
